Boring award shows just don't cut it.

We've performed at lots -- we mean LOTS -- of awards shows. Here's what we've learned about their unique challenges...

  1. 1
The audience members have been grinding it out all year...

And somehow you need to get them recommitted to top performance again (and since you had to do this last year, you're looking for something different and cool, again).
  2. 2
The business goal of recognizing top performers is to motivate the entire audience to be up on that stage next year...

But awards shows can be long and dull, and unless they're done extremely well, nobody really enjoys them except the seven winners.
  3. 3
    PACE. PACE. PACE.

Bringing people on stage, taking photos, moving them off stage -- all of this can drag the session's pace to a crawl and leave participants wanting to stick a fork in their eyes (or more likely, hit the lobby bar). Doing it right matters.

In addition to a TON of experience with these types of events, here is the tool kit we bring to these challenges.

1

Award-winning singing comedy about life and work. An awards show usually kicks off with a short warm up show--typically 10-15 minutes. Additional samples further down the page.

2

Special Awards Show packages that include material created specifically for your team, like songs to introduce award categories or big winners.

3

The ability to create material for the whole audience that shows you get what they're up against out there every day.

4

An over-the-top way to recognize a key sponsor or sponsors.

What Our Clients Say

Marianne Strobel

VP Customer Marketing and Communication, NA, Nokia

The Water Coolers were…Super, Excellent, Fabulous, Wonderful, Amazing, Funny, Awesome, Terrific, WOW… these are just a few of the adjectives coming from our sales leaders and their teams. Rick Corker (CEO) said it was the best conference and awards dinner they ever had…Rick laughed so hard that he had tears in his eyes. Mission Accomplished!

Scot Kaplan

Director of Sales Operations, Thomson Reuters Elite

The Water Coolers is an amazing act for anyone that wants to bring fun, excitement, and belly aching laughter to their event. They sing, dance, and they’re awesome comics! We have used them a few times as the entertainment for our annual sales awards and they are worth every penny. In addition to their award show material, they created many custom songs that give the night energy, excitement, and a unique flare…a belly busting performance!

Stewart Lander

Senior Sales VP, Genworth Financial

As the ‘owner’ of the awards night, my commitment to everyone at our National Sales Meeting was to be recognized for a great job during the year, have more fun than at any other awards night they've ever attended, and be proud of working for Genworth Financial. Mission accomplished!

I Want It Back

A song for anyone who's every desperately Googled, "retrieve sent email."

The Loiterer

Our tribute to that guy who struggles with subtle hints.  Like "get out."

Working In The Meeting

A tribute to that place where we all go to catch up on all our work.

Remember when being away from work meant being out of reach?  Yeah, me neither.  We don't have performance footage yet, so here's a social media version.

Loud Talker

Something for that colleague who has never grasped the concept of an "indoor voice."

Backstabber

Et tu Brute?  This is another green screen video we created for social media -- I don't have performance footage on this one yet.  Audiences LOVE it.

We'd love to work together. Let's make it happen!
